Soon after Fiona discovered the parantage of Lady Nocturne she fled from Amber giving no reason for her actions. Afterwards she took her 50 taken sorcerers and 100 Bene Gesserit witches and gathered a sizable army. She then led them over the edge of the abyss. What actions she took there are unclear.

Red Turning Ball in Chaos

The High Lord Swayvil turned up at the Rebman Sky Ball and invited King Random and his court to attend the Red Turning Ball. Much to everyone's surprise he agreed.

Doings at the 5255 Rebman Sky Ball

Queen Moire and Prince Rene of Rebma

The Queen of Rebma arrived in fine form this evening in a stunning Dior gown in Aquamarine and pearl. Her consort, Duke Honosol Moir Tral was resplendent in a Rebman-cut greatcoat with scale leggings in silver and aquamarine.

The Queen presented her Son, René of Rebma, and delivered him as the new Ambassador of Rebma, releasing Princess Llewella to return to her solitary pursuits far from court. It was further announced that Prince René was also the son of Prince Corwin of Amber, to the surprise of many. Although Corwin's own chronicles describe the dalliance that led to Rene's birth it was believed that if such a child had been born information about him would have surfaced before now. It seems since Rene was fostered at birth to the Moir Tral family.

It appears that Rene is a cultured, debonair, and charming gentleman, who is shadow wise and educated, having assayed the Logrus soon after the Patternfall war.

High Lord Swayvil attends with a New Ambassador from Chaos

During the activities of this year's Rebman Sky Ball, the High Lord of Chaos arrived unannounced. It is a testament to the security both realms feel in the accords of the Patternfall Treaty that such an august king might come to his opposite realm in peace. Those of a mystic bent might wonder what influence such a visit might have in shadow?

With him was Princess Maylon Hendrake, who replaced Lord Despil Sawall as the Ambasador from Chaos to the Court of Amber. This caused considerable anxiety considering the state of enmity between the Hendrakes and Lady Doria. After King Random had accepted her credentials she presented the king with a document in colorful poster form called Dworkin's Heirs and Spares. Created by the Sage of Angst, this poster displays all the known members of the House Bariman and the House of Amber. It detailed the 47 children of Oberon and their offspring even down to the 6^th generation. It illuminates a great deal concerning the affairs of Amber and Shadow. Multiple copies were discovered pasted about the city and numerous businesses, especially those catering to Amber Memorabilia, now carry these alongside the King Random's Decks.

King Random to attend the Red Turning Ball

 High Lord Swayvil invited King Random to attend the Red Turning Ball to be held at the Hendrake Way. His majesty graciously accepted and declared that the Court of Amber would attend. This met with mixed opinions from the court. These range from the delighted to the distraught.

Lady Cordelia Feldane was heard to comment; "I have no idea what they even wear in Chaos but I will by damn find out."

Lady Gila, the queen's dressmaker said, " I will have to visit Chaos to research materials alone."

Prince Benedict grunted with displeasure, and unclasped his court sword's peacebond.

Lord Jurt of Chaos said to Prince Bleys, "What do I have to do to get away from Chaos if the bloody High Bloody Lord of bloody Chaos can just walk the fuck into Amber like that?" Prince Bleys responded, "Well, dude, have you thought of pitching yourself out of a tall building?"

Queen Vialle was heard to say in the halls outside court, "Oh dear me."

Prince Caine Reinstated as Third Admiral of the Amber

For personal reasons Prince Delwin suddenly stepped down as Third Admiral of Amber. This office is widely believed to be a cover for the role of Spy-Master of Amber. Prince Caine was reinstated. Prince Delwin is said to have returned to his home world for a long vacation.

Amber Stand-Down

Prince Rene and Lord Jurt got involved in some kind of drinking-fighting game involving large amounts of alcohol and repeated punches to the face and body. Spectators say that the contest was a draw, though points go to both players for determination and pain tolerance. Lord Jurt is famous for certain pain games at Thin Whip's Place, so for the urbane Prince Rene to match him shows that Rene may not be completely the dandy he seems.

Raldevar

It has been announced that the Court of Amber with Stage their visit to Chaos in the Black Zone Instrument Pact World of Raldevar. This technological world deep in the Black Zone is a urban world of considerable sophistication. The host of the bivouac will be Mr. Robert Putney Drake, suspected of being one of the Incarnations.

The Court wil assemble there and take suites at a local hotel where they will depart to Chaos in State. Amber Military is being given control of this hotel as well as considerable additional space or troops and other security forces.

Disaster at the University of Fantalin

A cataclysmic explosion suddenly and spectacularly demolishes the University of Fantalin. 300 people slain including 15 instructors and two Deans. Dean of Treasures Aries Cobriesi, Dean Fiona of Amber, Lady Doria of Amber, and Adjur of Swirlin were trapped in the depths of the Hall of Treasures.

A massive effort lead by Lord Geryon of Amber and Lady Strykr of Amber to rescue the trapped victims include sorcerous and mundane methods. Reliable sources report that a magical experiment in the deepest chamber of the Hall of Treasures caused the massive detonation.

The Sons of Rilga Crisis

Well-placed governmental sources at court have clarified the recent problems concerning the removal of Prince Caine as Third in Command of The Amber Navy, and his replacement by Prince Delwin, and his reinstatement. The worst kept secret in Amber is that the office of Third Vice Admiral, while openly slated for routine duties involving ship/shore maintenance, is widely known to be the office of the Director of Central Intelligence for Amber. As director of Central Intelligence and Chief of the Secret Police Prince Caine has diligently ferreted out enemies of Amber at home and abroad.

It is believed that a falling out between King Random and the Sons of Rilga; Caine, Julian, and Gerard, sparked the removal of Prince Caine, Prince Julian, Warden of Arden, and Prince Gerard, Admiral in Chief of the Navy. The details of the conflict involve family law, not kingdom law. As anyone who has come down on the losing side of the vendetta clause can attest too, Family law out ranks Kingdom Law. Prince Delwin assumed the role of DCI, Prince Dalt, poorly reconciled as he is with Amber, was appointed Warden of Arden, and Lord Jopin was recalled from retirement to resume his rank as Admiral in Chief.

Prince Delwin's repressive actions directing the secret police involved numerous arrests of suspected subversives as well as other violations of the civil rights of natives and visitors to Amber alike. This engendered an air of fear and anger that can not have hurt the recruitment drives of both the Senate Faction and the Dusters.

At the Rebman Sky Ball The Sons of Rilga were reconciled with the King, and reinstated. Lord Jopin and Prince Dalt graciously stepped aside but it is rumored that Prince Delwin did not go nearly as easily and now travels in Shadow.

Lady Nocturne, Daughter of Brand

This week was the surprise announcement that Prince Bleys had been harboring a daughter of Prince Brand since before Patternfall.

The Amber Weekly recently received word of an incident at a family dinner involving Prince Bleys and Lady Nocturne. Attended by no less than 70 members of the family and court, including such notables as Princes Julian, Gerard, Giovanni, and Bleys, and Princesses Fiona and Flora as well as the king and Queen. The Cousins in attendance were Lady Nocturne of Course, as well as Lords Vance, Truman, Galvar, and Derek, and Lady Strykr, Among the nobles in attendance were Barons Eustance Clemans, Aubry du Motier, Earnest Chantris, Wyndham Feldane, and Baronesses Solange Charenton, Gethrun Norwolf, and Dame Hanith Hale. Also in attendance were Ladies Aurora Urien, Sophia Urien, Helne du Sarn, Yala Ganth, Nim Moir Tral,Sally Mal at Riess, Lady Shukarat and Yala Ganth.

This incident seemed to imply an improper, and frankly illegal, relationship between Prince Bleys and Lady Nocturne. A heated exchange occurred at which time Lady Nocturne stormed out of Milliways, defying the King's command. The general assumption by those in attendance was that Bleys may be guilty of breaking the Family Law code called the Law of Consanguinity.

When this reporter inquired of those said to be at the table when this occurred we received several different responses. Lord Vance and Lady Strykr both said No Comment, pointedly. Lady Aurora and Lady Sophia said they were away from the table at the time. Lady du Sarn said no comment and performed a sexual act we was most pleased with.

Baron Wyndham Feldane, however, removed a horse crop and struck me repeatedly while chasing me down the street yelling at me, then had me incarcerated for a night in the Harbor Housgow. Frankly we feel Baron Feldane was overly zealous in defending the reputation of the crown and the first family, and may have encroached upon the spirit of a Free Press so devoutly espoused by his Majesty. It is this kind of royal abuse of authority that has led many in the public to question the spirit of the new order under King Random. Of course it must be remembered that Baron Wyndham Feldane has served as Constable of Amber since the reign of Oberon so his attitudes may not reflect the current government.

Recently one of Rebma's top secrets was revealed when Lady Jallarzi Moir Trall, daungter of Bela Moir Trall, Grand-daughter of the Consort of Queen Moire of Amber, Honosol, was revealed to be the daughter of Despil of Amber.
