Complete Cyberware List
Cyberware in Amber is trick stuff. First off most of it does not work in Amber and so it makes them nothing more then strange jewelry. Unless you really need a hand in the shadow you are in it is best to just wait out the regrowth process.
But if you plan on spending time in a vast series of shadows where this stuff works, then cool.
Cyberware listed here is shadow-specific. Meaning that while you Might be able to get this stuff in multiple shadows it may not work in every shadow that has these. So if you get a vision implant in one shadow it does not mean that every shadow that features vision implants will all do them the same way.
Caveat Emptor, baby.
In general, where possible, if you want these abilities, get them in items that you can shadow-manipulate as you go. Of course, you need to understand the items and the principles they work on before you can adequately manipulate them...
An awkward problem with cyberware and Amberites is that the healing process of an amberite makes these items of limited longevity. It time the body of the Amberite heals and tries to dislodge the implants. Thus if you get a deep implant it may need new surgery every couple years.
One last comment on the use of Cyberware by Amberite. An Amberite suffering Cyber-Psychosis would be a real tough target to take out. If you do not know what Cyber-psychosis is then DO NOT get cyberware. This is a condition when the amount of cyberware in the
Surgery refers to whether or not surgery is required. Yes means there is a surgical element of implantation. Chem means the application is of a chemical nature not a surgical one, even if there is an elements of internal control to operate the appliance.

Optishields: Bulletproof mirror shades that cover the eyes.
Generally these are only used on separate glasses but the Amberite willing to pluck out his own eye can use these modifications to implanted eyes.
Times Square |
LED screen option |
An internal marquee with important data scrolling. Can also be used to activate a web-style browser within the eye. This version obscures all other vision from the eyes |
|
Teleoptics |
telescope option |
Vision improves for x2 up to x100. Many of the lesser levels of telescopic visions in implanted eyes are merely miniature telescopes and therefore do work in Amber. Check style to be sure. Same applies to Optishield Glasses |

Internal Marquee style Time notation. Doe not obscure vision. |
NEURALWARE; HEADWARE AND BOOSTERS
This is the real meat of cyberware, so to speak. For those of you who want the advantages you need to get a basic processor implanted first. Then other software and hardware can be added that interacts with it. If you implant a Basic Processor you have put your first step on to the road to Cyber-psychosis

Comments:
Wet Drives are an interesting thing for Amberites. They are natural brain material synthetically grown and designed to store memory at a great level of efficiency. Generally there is a neural plug to transfer data and a neural processor is required. However, due to Amberite's ungodly stamina and healing powers wet drives are sometimes converted to natural tissue. Essentially adapted by natural processes to allow the person to access them without the neural processor and to do so in shadows where cyberware does no function, even in Amber itself.
Martin has said that he had a 10k gig Wet Drive that his body consumed, adding its data to his own. Both in shadow and in Amber he was able to access information from this in the same way one remembers things. Yet in the shadow of its origin he could upload and download data from it but not from the rest of his brain. This has lead him to spend a great deal of time studying Cyber-technology and its uses in Amber and on Amberites.
Amberites tend to heal away standard tattoos in a reasonably fast pace. Truman frequently forced to have his tattoos replaced as his body first heals the wounds, then metabolizes the inks. A person with Amber Rank endurance will heal a tattoo in 4 months.
